I’ve come across several sources for free bible software, on both Windows and Mac. If you can’t afford the popular options of iLumina and QuickVerse, check out the following options. Some of their installation instructions for modules can be a little tricky, but there are step-by-step instructions available.  Users of the ESV will be pleased to find it available in all of the following options.

New Flash Audio Player

We’ve installed a new flash audio player to allow people to stream audio directly from the site. As of right now, we’ve enabled it to be used on the Sermons page, as well as the StartingPoint page. There are also other ways to listen to audio on the site:

• Use the flash player to stream the audio directly from the site.
• Right click on the “listen” link and choose “Save As” or “Save Link As” to download directly to your computer. This is a good option for broadband users who want the option of listening to the sermon later or like to transfer the mp3 to their mp3 player.
• If you have QuickTime installed, clicking on the “listen” link will open your browser’s QuickTime player, allowing you to stream the audio directly from the site.
• Subscribe to the podcast using your news reader of choice or iTunes. Sermons will be downloaded automatically each week when the podcast feed is updated.
