Membership Meeting Audio

Last night, The Point held the first quarterly membership meeting for 2009. After a time of worship, Pastor Rick introduced the formation of a deacon body to serve at The Point. Also included is a question and answer session with the elders and an overview of the Acts 29 church planting network.

Dr. Bruce Ware Audio

On February 1st, The Point hosted Dr. Bruce Ware, professor of Christian theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  As part of our Answers series, Dr. Ware spoke at the morning Table Groups session on God Esteem vs. Self Esteem.  During the worship gathering, Dr. Ware preached on the doctrine of the trinity.

New Audio Library Coming Soon!

We are in the process of finishing up a new audio library for this site. The new library will include audio of all sermons, bible studies, table groups, and possibly recordings from the Point’s bands. It is a fully searchable library, and is able to be filtered by sermon series, preacher, date and so much more. We think you will enjoy it. The new library should be finished in the next week, but you can sample it here:

Children & Youth Family Talk

On Sunday, June 29th, Pastor Rick Long gave a “family talk” before the sermon.  The intent was to announce the recent hirings of John Martin as our Family Life Pastor, with a focus on the children’s ministry.  He also announced Jason Hampton joining our volunteer staff to serve as Youth Pastor.  We’ve posted the audio for those that may’ve missed it:
